A baby elephant that was separated from its mother in Pannari forest of the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve in Erode district 5 days ago was sent to Mudumalai Elephant Breeding Camp from the Forest Office in Asanur.
According to details of on March 5, 2024, a baby elephant was treated by forest officials at the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu, along with her two-month-old baby.
The elephant’s mother died on March 5 despite efforts from four experienced veterinarians and experts. The Tamil Nadu forest department later reunited the 60-day-old elephant calf and a sub-adult male elephant with their herd.
