Hyderabad: Opening of additional counter at RPO, Secunderabad

Considering the increased demand for appointments availability cycle, the Ministry of External Affairs has decided to open additional counters for processing passport applications in Regional Passport Office, Secunderabad. These counters would be functional w.e.f. 05.06.2023 i.e., Monday.

Initially, as a trial run, 40 normal appointments per day, would be released in the Passport Seva Website for this service on 03.06.2023 (Saturday) around 4:30 PM under location. “RPO, Hyderabad Camp” for the period from 05.06.2023 to 07.06.2023.

Applicants may recall that, prior to roll out of Passport Seva Project, all passport applications were used to be accepted and processed in RPO, Secunderabad only.

With the setting up of 05 Passport Seva Kendras and 14 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras under this RPO, application processing is being done at these Kendras only.

Keeping in view the long appointment availability cycle, it has now been decided to extend the facility of submission of applications at RPO, Secunderabad also.

All applicants, both registering now/desiring to reschedule their appointment, may make use of this facility through www.passportindia.gov.in mPassportseva app. Further, all the applicants are here by informed that prior appointment is mandatory and no walk-in requests will be entertained.

All applicants are advised not to approach middlemen/touts/brokers for their passport and passport related requirements and to make use of this special measure.
