Telangana: Govt issues orders for implementation of Maha Lakshmi scheme

Telangana government has issued orders for implementation of the Maha Lakshmi scheme with effect from Saturday. Under the scheme, girls and women of all age groups and transgender persons domiciled in Telangana will be able to freely travel in the State Road Transport Corporation buses.

They can travel anywhere within the borders of Telangana in passenger buses and express buses. Travel in inter-state express and passenger buses will be free up to the borders of Telangana State.
 
The state Government will reimburse the expenditure to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation towards chargeable fares which would have been collected on the basis of actual distance travelled by women passengers.
