Telangana govt to airlift its students and citizens from Imphal to Hyderabad

The Telangana Government has decided to immediately airlift its students and citizens from Imphal to Hyderabad by a special flight today, in the wake of prevailing law and order situation in Manipur.

The State government has arranged a special flight to bring them back. A special cell has also been opened to monitor the situation in Manipur and protect the interests of the Telangana people in Manipur.

As per the information available, about 250 students belonging to the Telangana State are studying in various educational institutes in Imphal and other cities of the State. State Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari is in touch with her Manipur counterpart in this connection.
