PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi to start campaign for assembly election in Karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be campaigning for the assembly election in Karnataka. According to BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B L Santosh the Prime Minister will campaign in the state after April 29th. Former Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi is arriving in the state tomorrow. 

He will be visiting the Samadhi of 12th century philosopher and social reformer Basaveshwara in Kudala Sangama in Davangere. He will be participating in the Basava Jayanti celebration there.

In the evening he will participate in Jan Samparka abhiyan and address a public rally in Vijayapura. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Bengaluru today to hold a meeting with senior BJP leaders on election arrangements. Both BJP and Congress have announced a list of 40 star ca mpaigners for this election.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the other star campaigners are Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Yogi Adityanath, Shivaraj Singh Chouhan, Devendra Fadnavis among others. Congress Star Campaigners include Mallikarjuna Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Raj Babbar, Mohammad Azharuddin among others.
