CBI Probes Into Financial Irregularities At Kolkata’s R G Kar Hospital
Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI is conducting its investigation into the financial irregularities at R G Kar Hospital in Kolkata. The agency is searching at various places in the city as well as interrogating Debashis Som of the Forensic Department of the R G Kar Medical College and other persons including the ex-Principal Sandip Ghosh. Yesterday the CBI searched 15 places in this regard.
Meanwhile, the strike by the junior doctors is going on at all the government medical colleges and government medical institutions in West Bengal. The West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Front has demanded a proper investigation and exemplary punishment of the culprits of the R G Kar Medical College and Hospital rape and Murder incident.
The suspension of the former principal of the R G Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh, and the resignation of the Kolkata Police Commissioner Vinit Kumar Goyal. They also demanded to take the Police Commissioner be in the ambit of the investigation and the immediate end of the fear politics at all the Medical Colleges of West Bengal.
CBI Conducts Searches Over Alleged Financial Irregularities In RG Kar Hospital
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continued its searches in Kolkata for the second day today in connection with the investigation into the alleged financial irregularities at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
The central probe agency is also interrogating the former principal of the college Sandip Ghosh, demonstrator at the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at the college, Dr Debashish Som, and others in the case.
Yesterday, the CBI carried out searches at 15 locations in connection with the probe.
Meanwhile, healthcare services at state-run hospitals in West Bengal remained crippled as junior doctors continued their strike over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College.
The West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Front are demanding proper investigation and exemplary punishment to the culprits in the case.
