Special Drives Fill 4,445 Faculty Positions in Central Higher Education

The Centre today said to provide proper representation to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes (OBC) category in faculty positions in the Central Higher Educational Institutions, special recruitment drives have been undertaken in 2022 in a Mission Mode.
 
 In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Education Dr. Subhash Sarkar said till November this year 4,445 faculty positions have been filled which represents candidates from SC, ST and OBC categories.

The Minister informed that  19,190 vacancies have been filled up in Mission Mode from 2022 to 2023 by all Central Higher Educational Institutions.
