PM Modi greets ISRO as Chandrayaan-3’s Propulsion Module takes successful detour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization ISRO as Chandrayaan-3’s Propulsion Module took a successful detour. In a social media post,

Mr Modi said, it is another technology milestone achieved in India’s future space endeavours including the goal to send an Indian to the Moon by 2040.

ISRO said, in another unique experiment, the Propulsion Module is brought from the Lunar orbit to Earth’s orbit. It said, an orbit-raising maneuver and a Trans-Earth injection maneuver placed Propulsion Module in an Earth-bound orbit.
