ICC World Cup final: India set target of 241 runs for Australia in Ahmadabad
In ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup final, India has set a target of 241 runs for Australia at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmadabad.
Sent into bat, India managed to post 240 runs in stipulated 50 overs.
After a fine start of the innings by Skipper Rohit Sharma, team India could not sustain the Australian pace attack and struggled to score runs. The highlights of the Indian innings were half centuries by Virat Kohli and K L Rahul. Rahul made 66 while Virat scored 54 runs.
For Australia , Mitchell Starc took three wickets while Pat Cummins, and Hazelwood took two wickets each.
