Ambala BJP MP Rattan Lal Kataria passes away at 71: PM Modi expresses deep sorrow
The last rites of former Union Minister and Ambala MP Ratan Lal Kataria will be performed at Manimajra cremation ground in Chandigarh on Thursday afternoon.
The BJP MP passed away this morning following a prolonged illness at PGI Chandigarh. He was 71. He represented Ambala in Lok Sabha for 3 terms.
He served as the Union Minister of State in the Ministries of Jal Shakti and Social Justice and Empowerment from May 2019 to July 2021.
He was also the President of Haryana BJP from 2000 to 2003.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of MP and former Minister Rattan Lal Kataria. In a tweet, the Prime Minister acknowledged Kataria’s significant contributions to public service and social justice. Mr Modi also mentioned his instrumental role in bolstering the BJP in Haryana. Mr Modi extended his condolences to Kataria’s family and supporters
