TGFDC Successfully Organizes Free Health Camp – for Employees and workers

As part of the Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika celebrations, the Eco-Tourism Division of Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) successfully organized a Mega Free Health Camp on Tuesday at the Botanical Garden, Hyderabad. The camp was inaugurated by Smt. K. Shireesha, Senior Divisional Manager & Assistant Director, Eco-Tourism Division, who inspected the specialized medical counters and interacted with the participants.

The camp was organized in collaboration with a dedicated team of medical professionals from Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare and ensuring access to quality medical services for TGFDC employees and workers.

Addressing the gathering, Smt. Shireesha highlighted that TGFDC comprises staff from the Head Office, Eco-Tourism Wing, and workers engaged at the Botanical Garden, Kothaguda Reserve Forest, with over 100 personnel including regular employees, outsourcing staff and daily wage workers. She emphasized that many individuals often ignore minor health concerns at an early stage, which may lead to serious complications in the future.

To encourage timely health assessments and preventive care, the camp offered free medical consultations by a team of experts including Dr. Nikhil (General Physician), Dr. Prathysha (Dietitian), Dr. Rajya Lakshmi (Ayurvedic Specialist), Ms. Malini Devi (Manager, Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals), Medical Camps Executives Veera Swamy and Yeshwanth, along with supporting medical staff.

The camp provided a range of free diagnostic and screening services, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, weight assessment, Electrocardiogram (ECG), 2D Echo examinations, eye check-ups and general health consultations. A total of 76 TGFDC staff members and workers availed themselves of these healthcare services and received expert medical advice.

The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the TGFDC management and Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals for bringing essential healthcare services directly to their workplace. By integrating environmental wellness with healthcare initiatives, TGFDC reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being, health and welfare of its employees and workforce.

The programme was attended by Smt. K. Shireesha, Senior Divisional Manager & Assistant Director (Eco-Tourism), V. Lakshma Reddy, Plantation Manager, Srinivasu Reddy, Deputy Forest Range Officer (Dy. FRO), K. Suman, Projects Manager, Naturalists Samson Raju and Rohith, along with other officers and staff members of TGFDC.
