The India Meteorological Department has forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Keralam till 27th May and issued a yellow alert in nine districts of the state today. The yellow alert will continue in six districts tomorrow and in nine districts on Monday.
The southwest monsoon has further advanced into some parts of the southwest Arabian Sea, more parts of the southeast Arabian Sea, the Comorin area, southwest, southeast and east-central Bay of Bengal, and most parts of the Andaman Sea today.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts till the 27th of this month.
