In Andhra Pradesh, six persons were killed and ten others injured in a road accident on the Chilakaluripet National Highway in Palnadu district early this morning. Police said a private bus travelling from Vijayawada to Tirupati collided with an auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction.
The deceased were agricultural labourers from Veluru village who were travelling for work. The injured were shifted to Guntur Government General Hospital. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
