GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad campus, proudly announces that Ashritha Raju, a first-year B.Arch. student, won three Gold Medals in Pickleball—Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles—at the 2ndEdition of the Telangana Chief Minister’s Cup 2025–26. The finals were held on February 20–21, 2026, at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Hyderabad.
The prestigious tournament has been organizing by the Sports Authority of Telangana and conducted from January 8 to February 26, 2026, and featured multiple disciplines, including Handball, Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Billiards, Fencing, Lawn Tennis, and Pickleball. Competitions followed a multi-tier structure, beginning at the Gram Panchayat level, followed by Mandal and Urban Local Body rounds, and culminating in state-level finals in Hyderabad.
Congratulating Ashritha Raju on her remarkable achievement, GITAM leadership—including Prof. D.S. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor; and Ambika Philip, Director–Hospitality & Campus Life—commended her dedication, discipline, and sporting excellence, and encouraged her to aim for greater milestones in future competitions.
