GITAM Schools of Pharmacy Secure Prestigious ‘A’ Grade in PCI-QCI National Rankings

GITAM Deemed to be University has achieved a significant milestone with both its Schools of Pharmacy at Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam being awarded the prestigious ‘A’ Grade, the highest rating, in the National Ranking & Rating of Pharmacy Colleges (1stEdition) conducted by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) in association with the Quality Council of India (QCI) through NABET for the academic year 2025–26, informed Prof. Kumar G. S., Principal, School of Pharmacy, GITAM Hyderabad.

The national evaluation assessed 398 institutions offering B.Pharmacy programmes across India. Of these, only 64 institutions (16.1%) earned the coveted ‘A’ Grade, underscoring the highly competitive nature of the assessment.

In this prestigious national ranking, GITAM Visakhapatnam secured Rank 43, placing it among the Top 10.8% of pharmacy institutions in the country, while GITAM Hyderabad secured Rank 54, placing it within the Top 13.6% nationally. The achievement reaffirms GITAM’s commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, infrastructure, governance, and student outcomes.

The recognition reflects the University’s unwavering focus on quality, innovation, and academic excellence, and stands as a testament to the visionary leadership of the University, the dedication of the faculty, staff, students, and research scholars, and the sustained institutional quality initiatives undertaken by both Schools of Pharmacy.

The GITAM leadership congratulated the principal, faculty members, students, research scholars, and supporting staff of the Schools of Pharmacy at both campuses for this remarkable national achievement and appreciated their continued commitment to excellence.
