A fishing boat carrying fishermen from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh has gone missing at sea. The fishermen had set out for fishing from Odalarevu in Allavaram mandal on the third of this month and were expected to return within ten days.
As they failed to return, their family members informed the authorities. Marine Police and Fisheries Department officials have launched search operations to trace the missing fishermen. State Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister K. Atchannaidu directed officials to intensify search and rescue efforts by using all available resources.
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan expressed concern over the incident and directed officials to continuously monitor the situation and keep the families of the missing fishermen informed about the search operations.
