Andhra Pradesh: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan concerned about President Murmu’s comments on Santhal conference in W’Bengal

Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and film star Pawan Kalyan has expressed deep concern over the hurtful and sad comments made by Hon’ble President Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji regarding the organization of the International Santal Conference in Darjeeling, West Bengal.

He said that when a program celebrating the rich heritage of the Santal community is organized, the respect, participation and dignity that such a culture deserves should be ensured.

Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan said that it is regrettable that situations arise where members of the Santal community find it difficult to attend the conference meant for them. He said that such cultural conferences should reflect inclusiveness, sensitivity and proper administrative planning.

He said that the office of Hon’ble President of India enjoys the highest constitutional dignity in our country and should always be treated with the respect it deserves. The Minister stated that it is the responsibility of the concerned administration to ensure that the visit of Hon’ble President is conducted with utmost dignity.

The tribal communities of India are an integral part of the identity and pride of our country. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan called for always respecting their culture, traditions and voices with honesty and respect.
