GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, celebrated Achievers’ Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, recognizing the outstanding achievements of students in campus placements and higher education. Organized by the Career Guidance Centre (CGC), the event reflected the university’s strong commitment to academic excellence, industry readiness, and holistic student development.
On the occasion, GITAM announced impressive placement outcomes for the 2026 graduating batch. As of July 2026, 771 students secured placements out of 1,347 students who opted for campus recruitment, registering an overall placement rate of 60%. More than 1,000 job offers were extended by 324 leading recruiters across the university’s seven constituent schools.
The GITAM School of Business (GSB) emerged as the top performer with an overall placement rate of 97.5%, achieving 100% placements at the undergraduate level and 95.8% at the postgraduate level. The GITAM School of Architecture (GSA) also recorded 100% placements. GSB’s postgraduate students secured the highest average annual package of ₹6.94 LPA, while the GITAM School of Computer Science and Engineering (GSCSE) led in placement volume, with 544 job offers and 443 students placed. The highest salary package offered during the season stood at ₹16 LPA.
The event was graced by Krishna Chaitanya GT, Director & Chief Operations Leader – Tax, PwC AC, and Richard King, Region Head – Academic Alliances, TCS, as Guests of Honour. Addressing the gathering, they encouraged students to embrace continuous learning, innovation, and professional excellence. They also presented Career Fulfillment Certificates to the achievers.
While delivering the welcomed address, Prof. D. S. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Hyderabad, said, “This year’s placement season reflects the continued confidence that industry places in GITAM’s academic rigour and career-readiness initiatives. With over 1,000 job offers and a highest package of ₹16 LPA, our students have once again demonstrated their capability to excel in a competitive global job market. We remain committed to strengthening industry partnerships and creating greater career opportunities for our students.”
Student achievers G. Srujan (CSE), D. Veena Sri (CSE – AI & ML), E. J. Sanghamitra (EECE), NiharikaNomula (MBA), and PamishettiPrem Kumar (M.Sc. Data Science) shared their placement experiences and success stories. Representing parents, G.N.V. Srinivas Swaroop, father of G. Srujan, expressed appreciation for the university’s academic ecosystem and career guidance.
