Chennai: Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Takes Oath As Deputy Chief Minister Of Tamil Nadu
In Tamilnadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the State Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister this evening at the ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
State Governor R.N. Ravi administered the oath of office to Mr. Udhayanidhi. Along with him, four others, namely Senthil Balaji, Govi Chezhian, R. Rajendran, and S.M. Nasar, were also sworn in as ministers of the Cabinet. Four ministers have been dropped from the Cabinet.
This is the second time that the state government will have a deputy chief minister. Earlier, the Present Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin, was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister in 2009, when his father was the Chief Minister then.
