A special Court has ordered a Lokayukta police probe against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority, MUDA, site allotment case in Bengaluru today.

Judge Santhosh Gajanan Bhat has ordered Lokayukta police in Mysuru to conduct the probe and submit the report by December 24th.  The case in the Special court was based on a complaint filed by RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna.

The Special Court Judgement came a day after the Karnataka High Court upheld the sanction granted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to conduct an investigation against Siddaramaiah on the allegations of illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife B M Parvathi by MUDA. The High Court had approved the investigation in the MUDA case under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act
