GITAM Deemed to be University celebrated MUDITA 4.0, the fourth edition of its annual employee recognition and appreciation programme, honouring the hospitality, campus life, and support services teams whose dedication plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enriching campus environment.
Derived from the Sanskrit word Mudita, meaning joy in the happiness and success of others, the event embodies the values of gratitude, service, teamwork, and collective achievement. Over the years, MUDITA has evolved into a cherished tradition that recognizes the invaluable contributions of employees who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support the university community.
Organized by the Directorate of Hospitality and Campus Life, the event brought together staff from housekeeping, dining services, maintenance and engineering, gardening and landscaping, residences, utilities, transport, projects, information technology, audio-visual services, human resources, finance, administration, and other support functions.
The programme celebrated excellence, innovation, teamwork, dedication, and long years of service.
The event featured employee recognition awards, service excellence honours, appreciation ceremonies, and cultural performances, acknowledging individuals and teams who consistently go above and beyond in their responsibilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambika Philip said, “Our teams create a little bit of magic every day through their unwavering commitment to serving students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors. With ownership, passion, and compassion, they continuously strive to deliver meaningful experiences and dependable services while contributing positively to the campus community.”
University leadership highlighted that the success of a great institution depends not only on academic excellence but also on the dedication of those who work selflessly to support its mission. They emphasized that MUDITA is a tribute to the individuals whose efforts often remain unseen but are fundamental to the smooth functioning and growth of the university.
