Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu reviews the changing situation in the Middle East
In view of the evolving situation in the Middle East, Union Civil Aviation Minister Mr. Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu chaired a comprehensive review meeting with MoCA_GoI officials, DGCA India, AAI officials, airlines and airport operators. He said that the safety of passengers and crew is our utmost priority.
In line with global safety protocols, the Minister advised Indian carriers to continuously monitor airspace advisories and NOTAMs and take timely rerouting or diversions wherever necessary.
The Minister said that major airports are on operational alert to manage potential diversions and ensure smooth passenger movement. DGCA is maintaining close coordination with airlines to ensure full compliance with safety and operational norms.
We are also in close touch with the Ministry of External Affairs for any emerging needs related to Indian carriers or nationals abroad. The situation is under constant surveillance. We are committed to safe, orderly and efficient flight operations, Minister Naidu clarified.
