Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the Khet Bachao Abhiyan from Raisen District in Madhya Pradesh tomorrow.
The month-long campaign will continue till 30th of June. The focus of the campaign will be on balanced and judicious use of fertilisers, timely advice to farmers in the view of weather-related challenges, active participation at the panchayat level and delivering the benefits of the schemes directly to the villages.
Ahead of the launch of the campaign, Mr Chouhan has spoke to the Chief Ministers of all States for their participation in this campaign. The Minister also appealed to Union Ministers and other public representatives to join the initiative.
He also virtually interacted with the Krishi Vigyan Kendras, ICAR institutes, agricultural universities and senior agriculture officials of Central and State governments and urged them to take the campaign forward with public participation.
