TGFDC Donates Electrical Buggies and Hand Therapy Equipment Worth Rs. 33 Lakh to NIMS Under CSR Initiative

Hyderabad, 06 June 2026: Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, donated two electrical buggies and hand therapy equipment worth Rs. 33 lakhs to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) to enhance patient care and accessibility within the institute.

The equipment was formally inaugurated today by Sri Podem Veeraiah, Hon’ble Chairman of TGFDC, in the presence of Smt. Sunita M. Bhagwat, IFS, VC & MD, TGFDC and Dr. N. Beerappa, Director, NIMS. The initiative reflects TGFDC’s commitment towards supporting public healthcare institutions and contributing to community welfare through meaningful CSR interventions.

The two electrical buggies will facilitate the movement of patients, elderly visitors and hospital staff within the NIMS campus, while the hand therapy equipment will strengthen rehabilitation services and support patients undergoing hand and upper-limb therapy. The donation is expected to improve patient comfort, accessibility and the overall quality of healthcare services.

Senior officers of TGFDC who participated in the event included Sri D. Venkateshwar Reddy – Chief General Manager (C), Dr. G. Skylab – General Manager, (Operations), Sri Syed Maqsood – General Manager (Vigilance) and Sri A. Kiran Kumar, Financial Controller. The dignitaries reaffirmed TGFDC’s commitment to extending support to social and public welfare initiatives that create a positive impact on society.
