Telangana Nursing Council Registrar Prof. Banda Vidyavathi services commendable

As the first Registrar of the Telangana Nurses and Midwives Council, Prof. Banda Vidyavathi served in that position for glorious ten years, expanding nursing education and employment opportunities and providing excellent services, thereby earning special recognition at both the state and national level. The retirement felicitation ceremony recently held and was a grand success.

This event, held under the supervision of the Telangana Nurses and Midwives, Council President/DME, DME Academic and Deputy Director Nursing was attended by a large number of official and unofficial representatives, principals and faculty members of government and private nursing colleges, and people from various sector, They lauded the services of Registrar Professor Banda Vidyavathi and felicitated grandly.

At this event, the distinguished guests, Telangana Director of Medical Education Dr. Narendra Kumar and Dr. K. Sivaram Prasad, DME Academic praised the services of Professor Banda Vidyavathi, who retired as the Registrar of the Nursing Council, and felicitated her grandly.

On this occasion, the Director of Medical Education, Dr. Narendra Kumar, congratulated Professor Banda Vidyavati, stating that she had achieved a rare distinction by serving as the Registrar of the Telangana Nursing Council for ten years and working in this field for a total of 36 years.

He said that Vidyavathi, as First Registrar, had achieved many goals, but there was still much more to be done. He noted that the government had recognized the lack of adequate accommodation facilities, given that nine thousand female students taking admissions every academic year.

He instructed the officials to undertake the construction of a new building for the current council office and to conduct the council’s activities on the third floor of the DME office until then.

He requested Professor Vidyavathi to oversee the office relocation and the construction work of the council office building. He also entrusted her with the responsibility of ensuring that the Nursing Council funds, currently frozen in the bank, are returned to the council.

Dr. K. Sivaram Prasad DME Academic praised the services of Professor Banda Vidyavathi, who retired as the First Registrar of the Nursing Council. He appreciated Professor Vidyavathi’s efforts in the council’s activities and her contributions to the advancement of both government and private nursing colleges during her tenure as Registrar.

Representatives of the Telangana Nursing Institutes Management Association, Mr. D. Sambi Reddy, Mr. Mallaiah, and Mr. Chenna Reddy, praised the services rendered by Registrar Banda Vidyavathi. They expressed hope that she would continue to provide further services in the future, given her vast experience in administration and her contributions to the advancement of nursing education.

They mentioned that there are ample opportunities for her to become the Chairman of the National Nursing Commission and advised her to make the most of them. Subsequently, on behalf of the association, they felicitated her with a portrait of Lord Venkateswara.

Similarly, the Deputy Director of Nursing in the Department of Medical Education, the current I/C Registrar of the Nursing Council, Mrs. Vidyullatha, principals, and representatives of private college managements delivered speeches and congratulated Professor Vidyavati, for her out-standing contributions to the Nursing education and administration.

Later, Professor Vidyavati, who retired as Registrar, expressed her gratitude to the Govt of Telangana, Directors, Officers, Principals, Public representatives and the Telangana Nursing Institute Management Association, and the staff who supported her in the progress of the council. She stated that although the felicitation program was postponed several times due to her father’s ill health, the large turnout at the event, reflecting the affection and respect shown towards her, brought her immense joy.

Subsequently, the directors unveiled a special issue of a publication that FOCUS specifically on Professor Vidyavati Services, who had retired as First Registrar.
