Telangana: CM Revanth Reddy decided to conduct Varuna Yagam to invoke widespread rains across the state

Telangana Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy has decided to conduct the Varuna Yagam to invoke widespread rains across the state. In accordance with the auspicious timing determined by the priests, Vedic scholars, and astrologers of Yadagirigutta Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, the Varuna Yagam will be performed on the 10th of this month at Nagarjuna Sagar.

Arrangements are being made to conduct the Yagam in the Vijayavihar grounds on the banks of the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Under the aegis of the Endowments Department, the priests and Vedic scholars of Yadagirigutta Devasthanam will perform the Yagam rituals at the decided auspicious moment.

With the resolve that the Krishna and Godavari rivers, and the tanks, should brim with water, and that the withering crops should yield abundantly, special pujas will be conducted. The Varuna Yagam will take place under the leadership of Minister for Water Resources and Municipal Administration Uttam Kumar Reddy. Following the Yagam, the Chief Minister will participate in the grand Purnahuti program.
