Telangana: CM Revanth Reddy assures rights holders of lands included in prohibited list

Chief Minister Sri Revanth Reddy assured that there is no need for any rights holders to worry regarding the lands included in the prohibited lists. He assured that the survey numbers of the lands included in the prohibited list (22 A) will be given by-numbers and the problems of the rights holders will be resolved.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of ‘Indiramma Houses’ (towers) in KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, within the Core Urban Region (CURE) limits. The *Bhoomi Puja* (ground-breaking ceremony) was conducted in the presence of Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu, and Ponnam Prabhakar, along with other public representatives.

Addressing a gathering of local residents on this occasion, the Chief Minister spoke about the issue of lands placed on the prohibited list.

“If your land has been included in the 22-A (prohibited) list for any reason, rest assured that the land belonging to legitimate buyers will not be lost; I give you my word. Regarding lands involved in court cases, the entire survey number was previously included in the prohibited list. We are now resolving this by excluding the specific portions under litigation and assigning sub-survey numbers to the remaining land. There is absolutely no need for anyone to worry about this matter,” the Chief Minister clarified. “Ensure that whatever the people of the Kukatpally area need is addressed. An opportunity has arisen to repay the debt owed to the people of this region. The constituency requires special attention regarding roads, flyovers, the restoration of lakes, educational institutions like schools and colleges, and industries that create jobs and employment opportunities,” the Chief Minister advised Minister Sridhar Babu, who was present on the dais.

“Regarding the implementation of development and welfare schemes, the public should compare the previous administration’s performance with that of the last two years. None of the welfare programs implemented by the previous government have been discontinued; instead, we have launched numerous additional welfare initiatives,” he said, while elaborating on the welfare schemes. “We are providing 6 kg of fine-quality rice per person to 3.28 crore people in the state. We are supplying 200 units of free electricity and providing LPG cylinders for just ₹500. We have distributed one crore ‘Indiramma’ sarees to one crore women.

Thanks to free RTC travel, those commuting for jobs, employment, or education are saving six to seven thousand rupees a month. We have already paid ₹12,000 crore to the RTC. We facilitated bank linkages worth ₹65,000 crore for self-help groups and paid ₹2,500 crore in interest.

We purchased 1,000 buses in the name of women’s groups and leased them to the RTC. We enabled the establishment of 1,000-megawatt solar power plants. We allocated valuable land—spanning three and a half acres at Shilparamam—for ‘Indira Mahila Bazaars,’ allowing women from regions ranging from the Adilabad forests to Achampet to sell their products.

Within two years, we filled 70,000 job vacancies across various government departments. We undertook a magnificent initiative to construct ‘Indiramma Towers’ on an 11-acre plot in Kukatpally, valued at hundreds of crores. We resolved to provide housing to the city’s poorest residents right where they currently live.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister instructed ministers to waive registration charges for houses built for the poor. Regarding the houses currently under construction…” “We are providing the land to the poor entirely free of cost. If beneficiaries bear five to six lakh rupees of the construction cost, they gain the right to inspect the progress of the work while it is underway,” he explained.

“We are moving forward with the vision of providing homes for the poor to live in. We will stand by you one hundred percent to help realize the dream of owning a home. In the first phase, the government is striving to provide quality housing in areas with high low-income populations—such as Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Medchal, Cantonment, LB Nagar, and Uppal—as well as in areas where people have migrated from other districts, states, and countries for work.

In the past, simply making the rounds of Gram Panchayats, municipalities, or corporations to get any work done would consume all one’s time. That is why we established the Cyberabad Commissionerate for the convenience of the people,” he said.

“I stand committed to your development. I have a desire to do good for others. Doing good requires sincerity and noble intentions. God has given me the strength to work 18 hours a day to steer a devastated Telangana toward progress. I ask the people—and all of you—to bless this endeavor,” the Chief Minister said.
