Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy announced that measures will be taken to conduct competitive exams once every six months to fill job vacancies in the government. He stated that they are working with the resolve to fill every vacancy in the government and urged the unemployed youth to prepare for the competitive exams.
On the auspicious occasion of the country’s Independence Day, the Chief Minister ceremonially launched the distribution program of smart ration cards in the presence of the public at the meeting organized at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in Sangareddy town.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister explained the welfare and development works being implemented in the state, particularly highlighting the programs undertaken by the people’s government with priority to farmers, women, and youth.
He reminded that it is with the resolve that the poor should not go hungry and no one should have to beg with outstretched hands that, even though it is not implemented in any state in the country, fine rice distribution has been undertaken in Telangana.
Noting that the honor of starting the ration shop system in the country belongs to the Congress government, he said that after launching the fine rice distribution scheme from the Huzur Nagar constituency, fine rice is being provided to 3.42 crore people across the state.
He stated that after starting the fine rice distribution to the poor, its price in the market has decreased by 10 to 15 rupees. Agriculture is not drudgery. The government is working with the goal of making it a festival, and after coming to power, the people’s government has spent 1.70 lakh crore rupees on the agriculture sector.
“In the past 32 months, the government has paid Rs. 90,000 crore to procure the crops grown by farmers, thereby strengthening the rural economy. We have deposited Rs. 21,000 crore into farmers’ accounts and freed 25 lakh farmers from debt. Central government reports have revealed that Telangana’s farmers have the lowest debt in the country.
We have increased Rythu Bharosa from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 18,000 per acre and provided Rs. 36,000 crore under Rythu Bharosa. Today, farmers are farming happily. We have turned agriculture into a festival. Honoring farmers like kings is the culture of our government.
Indiramma Rajyam means women’s government. We are working with the resolve to make a crore of people crorepatis. We have provided bank linkage to the tune of Rs. 60,000 crore at zero interest to self-help groups. We have paid Rs. 11,000 crore for free travel for women on RTC buses.
We have entrusted the work of stitching school uniforms for 27 lakh school children in the state to women’s groups. In the first phase, we have allotted 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses to women. In the second phase, another 2.5 lakh houses have been allotted.
It is the responsibility of the government to provide pensions to all widows and single women in the state. Similarly, we have decided to provide pensions to weavers, fishermen, and those suffering from diseases like sickle cell anemia. All eligible people should apply.
Some are trying to provoke unemployed youth. Do not fall for the illusions of those who speak of what exists and what doesn’t. In just one year of coming to power, we have filled 70,000 jobs. In the recent period, we have issued notifications for another 10,000 jobs. Filling jobs is our responsibility. We will not leave any vacancy to the winds. Prepare for the competitive exams. Conducting all exams is my responsibility.
We are steering a devastated Telangana toward development while paying interest on the debts and mistakes of the previous government. We are paying Rs. 75,000 crore every year to service debts. We are implementing welfare in crisis by putting it on the anvil.
The responsibility of providing good governance to the people lies with the people’s government. For that, the blessings of the people are needed. With the blessings of the people, nothing is unachievable. We will stand by every promise made to you,” the Chief Minister assured.
