Chief Minister Sri.A. Revanth Reddy has reiterated that the prestigious Musi River Front Development, which is set to transform the map of Telangana state, and the Bharat Future City project will be completed under any circumstances. He stated that they are working with the resolve that the pollution and flood-like distress faced by major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru in the country should not reach Hyderabad city.
At Gurramguda Eco Park within the limits of the LB Nagar constituency, the Chief Minister planted a sapling and inaugurated the Vanamahotsavam – 2026 program. He inaugurated the photo exhibition set up on the establishment of the Eco Park.
As part of Vanamahotsavam, he launched various development works worth Rs. 35.50 crore related to planting saplings in several districts, along with forest enhancement, wildlife conservation, and nature conservation. He gave the green signal to the works undertaken at a cost of Rs. 17.84 crore in Gurramguda Reserve Forest.
From here, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated development works worth Rs. 17.66 crore, including urban parks, eco parks, wildlife conservation, zoo modernization, residential buildings, and environmental infrastructure, in Nizamabad, Khammam, Hanumakonda, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Mulugu, Narayanpet, Bhupalpally, Sangareddy, and Rangareddy districts.

Speaking at the meeting organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister, while detailing the problems faced by major cities in the country, said that the #MusiRiverFront construction will be completed at an international level.
“No matter what anyone thinks, we will clean the Musi River come what may. The responsibility to complete a riverfront at an international level over 55 km from Gandipet to Gourelli is mine. We will develop #BharatFutureCity in a way that attracts global tourists. We will develop the Musi River Front more wonderfully than the riverfronts of Sabarmati, Ganga, and Yamuna,” he clarified.
He explained several points, stating that during the previous government’s tenure, whatever works were undertaken in #Hyderabad and Rangareddy district were done only towards one region, and areas like LB Nagar, BN Reddy Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hayathnagar, Gurramguda, Bairamalguda, and Sayab Nagar, which are at a stone’s throw distance, were neglected for development.
He said that after reflecting on these matters, they have taken up works with the resolve to develop towards these areas in the district. As part of that, he mentioned the construction of a fruit market with Rs. 2,400 crore at international standards.

He informed that they had strongly argued in the Supreme Court and protected the Gurramguda site when some private individuals tried to lay out and sell the land, saying that it should also be occupied. He said that 100 acres have been allocated for a national park in this regard. He stated that he has instructed the officials to allocate the necessary funds to construct a park at international standards over 424 acres in the LB Nagar area.
Reminding that due to encroachments and occupations, rainwater could not flow, leading to slum areas getting submerged when rains came, he said that they have brought in HYDRA with the aim of preventing such difficulties, so that the roots of encroachments can be uprooted.
He said that HYDRA will act strictly if lakes, parks, and canals are encroached upon, and they will not overlook the situation where thousands of families suffer hardships due to the encroachments of a few. He recalled that in the past, the people of this area had faced severe troubles due to the series factory.
Ministers Duddilla SridharBabu, Srmt. Konda. Surekha, Principal Secretary (Forest) Ahmed Nadeem, PCCF (HoFF) Dr. C. Suvarna along with other public representatives and Forest and other officials participated in this program.
