TAAK Hosts Successful B2B Networking Meet in Hyderabad to Strengthen Kashmir–South India Tourism Ties

Hyderabad: The Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) successfully organized an exclusive B2B Networking Meet in Hyderabad on 12th February 2026, marking a significant milestone in fostering tourism collaboration between Jammu & Kashmir and the southern region of India.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from leading travel professionals and heads of prominent travel associations from Hyderabad, Telangana.

Among the distinguished attendees were Mr. NSN Mohan, Vice President, SKAL International; Mr. Hari Krishan Valmiki, Deputy Auditor of Skål International; Mrs. Avneet Sonthalia, Secretary, SKAL Hyderabad; Mr. Nagesh Pampati, Chairman TAAI Telangana & Andhra Pradesh; Mr. Liaqat Ali, President, Travel Operators Association of Telangana (TOAT); Mrs. Sujana Kumar, Vice President, TOAT ; and Mr. Siraj Ansari, Head, Head, United Federation of Travel & Tourism Chambers of Commerce (UFTCC).

Their presence underscored the growing interest in Jammu & Kashmir’s tourism offerings, especially from the southern states. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Farooq Kuthoo, President, TAAK, who emphasized the growing importance of tourism as a catalyst for regional economic growth and cultural exchange.

In his address, he highlighted the immense potential for both regions to benefit from strengthened partnerships in the tourism sector. President TAAK, Mr. Farooq Kuthoo, further underlined the unparalleled potential of Kashmir’s tourism industry, noting that the region offers a unique and breathtaking backdrop for leisure, honeymoon, and adventure tourism.

He shared that several interactions were held with stakeholders and members of the film fraternity during the event, where there was notable interest in shooting films in Kashmir’s scenic landscapes. “This further solidifies Kashmir’s position as a premier destination not only for tourism but also for film production,” he stated.

The B2B Meet focused on a broad spectrum of tourism sectors including MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), leisure tourism, honeymoon travel, and adventure tourism. Travel agents, tour operators, and tourism stakeholders from Hyderabad and surrounding areas engaged in productive discussions on emerging travel trends, innovative tour offerings, and sustainable tourism practices while building meaningful business connections.

Mr. Sajad Ahmad Kralyari, Secretary General, TAAK, expressed optimism about the long-term impact of the event.

He emphasized that initiatives like this are instrumental in unlocking new opportunities for mutual growth between Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, strengthening trade relations, and enhancing tourist inflow between the two regions.

The event was graced by Ms. Manvi, General Manager – Marketing & PR, Water Fleet & Finance, Telangana Tourism, Hyderabad, one of the distinguished guests at the occasion who assured full support in bringing together travel partners from Kashmir and Hyderabad to promote stronger tourism collaboration.

From Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, Mr. Mohammad Sajid Kirmani, Tourist Officer, Hyderabad, also graced the occasion and interacted with travel agents and visiting delegates from Kashmir.

J&K Tourism distributed publicity material showcasing Kashmir’s diverse tourism products and experiences during the event. The B2B Networking Meet stands as a testament to TAAK’s commitment to building a sustainable and thriving tourism ecosystem by facilitating meaningful collaborations across India.

The association expressed confidence that the relationships forged during the event will significantly contribute to increasing tourist arrivals from the southern region to Kashmir.
