Singareni Chairman & Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, IAS, visited the Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) at Jaipur Mandal on Friday and reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction works of the new 800 MW Thermal Power Unit.
During the inspection, the CMD directed the concerned officials to ensure the timely completion of the project as per the scheduled targets. He emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards and adhering to the project timeline to strengthen Singareni’s power generation capacity.
As part of the visit, Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti planted a sapling on the plant premises and inaugurated the Rescue Safety Control Room. He also reviewed the performance and progress of the thermal and solar power projects being undertaken by the company and held discussions with officials on various operational and developmental aspects. Directors of SCCL and senior officials accompanied the CMD during the inspection.

Inspects Mines and CHP Works – Congratulates International Award-Winning Rescue Team
Singareni Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti visited the RG-I and RG-II Areas in the Ramagundam Region on Thursday as part of his two-day tour.
Upon his arrival at Ramagundam by train in the afternoon, the CMD was accorded a warm welcome by the company Directors and Area General Managers.
Later, he visited the Coal Handling Plant (CHP) in the RG-II Area and reviewed coal transportation and quality management systems with officers and employees. He stressed the need to maintain the highest quality standards and ensure faster coal transportation.
The CMD also personally inspected the ongoing construction works of the new CHP bunker. Officials briefed him on the bunker capacity and the coal transportation system being developed there. He directed the concerned officials to complete the construction works within the stipulated timeframe.
Subsequently, he visited the RG OC-3 mine through the viewpoint and reviewed various aspects including mine life, production process, and quality standards with Directors, the Area GM, and other officials. He instructed the officials to surpass the targets in both coal production and overburden removal.
The CMD later visited the Singareni Mines Rescue Station and congratulated the rescue team members who recently won accolades at the international level.
Thereafter, he inspected the GDK-5 Opencast Mine in the RG-I Area and observed the ongoing production activities through the viewpoint. The Area General Manager explained the details of the project to the CMD.

Srinivas, and the GMs of RG-I, RG-II, RG-III, and Adriyala Project — Sri Lalith Kumar, Sri Bandi Venkataiah, Sri Madhusudan, and Sri Kolipaka Nageswara Rao, GM (Rescue) Sri Srinivasa Reddy along with other officials, participated in the programme.
