Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust first CEO selection process to conclude today
In Ayodhya, the interview process for the appointment of the first Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will conclude today. Around 5,200 applications were received for the post, of which 18 candidates were shortlisted after screening for the final round.
Nine candidates were interviewed yesterday at the Pilgrim Facilitation Centre located within the Ram Temple complex. The remaining nine candidates will appear for interviews today. A three-member selection committee will submit the details of the selected candidate to the Trust after completing the interview process. The appointment is expected to receive final approval at the Trust meeting scheduled to be held on September 2.
Meanwhile, the judicial custody of all eight accused currently lodged in jail in connection with the alleged theft of donations from the Ram Temple has been extended by another 12 days. The defence counsel has also filed an application seeking the removal of the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act against the accused. The application is scheduled to be heard by the court today.
