Security Forces Intensify Preparations For Amarnath Yatra Across Jammu And Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces intensified preparations for the annual Amarnath Yatra by conducting extensive patrolling, area domination exercises and cordon-and-search operations across Jammu district ahead of the pilgrimage beginning on July 3.

Along with the CISF and BSF, they carried out long-range patrolling in the Arnia border belt, covering Rathana, Salehar, Chak Jagtoo and adjoining areas to strengthen border surveillance and deter anti-social activities.

Security personnel also interacted with residents during the exercise. Simultaneously, area domination exercises were conducted in R.S. Pura, Bishnah, Arnia and Miran Sahib, covering sensitive locations, markets, bus stands and border villages. Intensive vehicle checking, verification drives and surveillance were undertaken to enhance security and gather ground-level intelligence.

In another operation, police and the CRPF conducted cordon-and-search operations in Katal Batal, Tahra and the Bajalta railway station area along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to ensure a secure environment for pilgrims and the general public during the forthcoming yatra.
