The training program for the 12th batch of Forest Range Officer (FRO) trainees was inaugurated with great enthusiasm today at the Telangana Forest Academy (TGFA) in Dulapally. A total of 58 trainees from the states of Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala are participating in this 18-month-long training program.

Dr. C. Suvarna, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) of Telangana, attended the inaugural event as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she advised the trainees to work with honesty, commitment, and professional excellence to effectively discharge responsibilities such as forest conservation, biodiversity preservation, wildlife protection, and the enforcement of forest laws.

She urged them to gain a comprehensive understanding of subjects including forest administration, forest management, wildlife conservation, the control of forest-related crimes, the use of modern technology, and community participation. She noted that this training would enhance their capacity to provide better services to the public while effectively addressing the new challenges emerging in the forestry sector.

The event was attended by Dr. Priyanka Varghese, Director of the Telangana State Forest Academy, and Dr. S.J., Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Administration). Asha participated in the event and offered several suggestions to the students undergoing training. Subsequently, senior officials held an interactive session with the trainees, raising awareness about the opportunities and challenges within the forest services.

Upon completing their training, the trainees will assume duties in various forest departments across their respective states. Senior forest department officials, academy faculty, trainees, and other staff members participated in the event. Senior forest officials—including Madhava Rao, Kampa Srinivas, Rekha Bhanu, Manjula, Nagamani, and Srinivas—were among the participants.
