MoS Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar to Lay Foundation Stone for Construction of Road Over Bridge at Guntur Division

Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State of Rural Development and Communications, Government of India will lay foundation stone for construction Road Over Bridge in lieu of Level Crossing no.6 at Chinapalakaluru, Guntur, Guntur Division on 22nd May, 2026 (Friday).

The function will be held in the august presence of Shri Kandula Durgesh, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Culture & Cinematography and Guntur District In-charge Minister, Government of AP, Shri Nara Lokesh, Hon’ble Minister for Human Resources Development,

IT Electronics & Communication, RTG, Government of AP, Shri Nadendla Manohar, Hon’ble Minister for Food and Civil supplies, Consumer Affairs, Government of AP, other dignitaries and Senior Railway officials will also be present during the function.

Construction of ROB in lieu of Level Crossing No.6 locally known as Chinna Palakaluru is situated in main line of Guntur – Nadikude section of Guntur Divisions. The gate lies in the busy route serving the road users travelling between Guntur – Pericherla Road.

To facilitate the commuters and avoid inconvenience, it is proposed to construct Road Over Bridge in place of Level Crossing Gate with a cost of Rs. 41.32 crores with 100% Railway cost.

Once the construction of ROB is completed, it will help in seamless movement of both Road & Rail traffic and will facilitates hassle free connectivity to State Capital, Amaravati. It will considerably reduce distance between Perecherla and Guntur City.
