India’s Satwiksairaj-Chirag Win Singapore Open 2026: AP CM Chandrababu Greets

In Badminton, Indian men’s double pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the finals of the Singapore Open tournament today. The Indian pair defeated Indonesian pair of Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Fajar Alfian 18-21, 21-17, 21-16 in the final match. This win helped the duo to end their two-year title drought.

Earlier, the Indian pair defeated world number one South Korea’s duo Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho, who were on a 34-match winning streak, in the semi-final match.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his delight over the historic victory achieved by Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in the Men’s Doubles Championship at the KFF Singapore Badminton Open 2026. He extended his best wishes to both of them.

Your magnificent victory and dominant performance reflect your dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence.” The Chief Minister noted that, by standing as a source of pride for India on the global stage, they are inspiring millions of young athletes across the country.

“We are especially proud of our Andhra Pradesh star, Satwiksairaj, for once again bringing great glory to the state with this spectacular triumph.” He congratulated both of them on achieving this memorable victory. Chief Minister Chandrababu conveyed his hope that they would continue to achieve sustained success and reach many more milestones in the years to come.
