IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Over Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Telangana

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over parts of the North-Eastern region, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa tomorrow. The Met Department has also predicted thundersqualls with wind over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and West Madhya Pradesh till tomorrow, while similar weather conditions are likely to prevail over Bihar during the next two days. According to IMD, West Rajasthan is likely to experience dust storm conditions tomorrow.

The IMD forecast heat wave conditions to prevail at isolated places over Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh tomorrow. The weather agency said that the Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some parts of the Northeast Arabian Sea, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, the remaining parts of Maharashtra, and some more parts of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand today.

Meanwhile, the residents of the national capital got relief from the scorching heat after the city received light to moderate rainfall in some parts this evening. According to the IMD, the national capital is likely to witness partly cloudy skies, with a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by rain during the afternoon and evening tomorrow. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius and the minimum between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius in the city.
