IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Across Northeast, Odisha, Kerala And West Bengal Today
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall today in places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala and Mahe, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim. Rainfall conditions are also expected during the day over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu and North-east India.
According to the Met Department Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to experience thunderqualls, thunderstorms and hailstorms. Thundersqualls are also likely to occur today over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha and Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, heatwave conditions will persist over West Rajasthan, while Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Konkan, Goa and Odisha are likely to experience hot and humid weather today.
