ICG’s 138th Offshore Security Coordination Committee (OSCC) meeting concludes successfully in Ahmedabad

New Delhi, 21 May 2026: The 138thOffshore Security Coordination Committee (OSCC) meeting was conducted at Ahmedabad on 21 May 2026, under the Chairpersonship of Director General Paramesh Sivamani, AVSM, PTM, TM, Director General Indian Coast Guard, to review and strengthen the security framework for India’s offshore installations and critical energy infrastructure.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Indian Navy (IN), Indian Air Force (IAF), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), Director General Hydrographer (DGH), DG Shipping, Intelligence Bureau, Oil & Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) and State Police forces.

The deliberations were held in the context of the evolving global and regional security environment, modern warfare dynamics including unmanned and drone-enabled threats and the expanding offshore exploration activities in the Andaman & Nicobar region. The Committee is focussed on enhancing maritime domain awareness, inter-agency coordination, surveillance capabilities and joint response mechanisms to address emerging offshore security challenges.
