GITAM School of Business, will organize a five-day online hands-on workshop (Management Development Programme – MDP) on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning for Business Decision-Making” from 25 to 29 May 2026, daily from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The programme aims to familiarize participants with the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in modern business decision-making. As AI-driven analytics increasingly supports areas such as customer acquisition, demand forecasting, risk management, and personalized marketing.The workshop seeks to equip participants with practical insights into applying these technologies for data-driven decisions.
Designed primarily for faculty members from Management, Commerce, Economics, Computer Applications, and Engineering disciplines.The workshop will focus on business-oriented use cases, hands-on demonstrations, and interpretation of model outputs rather than treating ML as a purely technical subject. Practical datasets, visualization-based explanations, and an easy-to-use analytics interface will be used to make AI and ML concepts accessible to participants.
Dr. M. Kamakshaiah, an academician and researcher with extensive experience in Business Analytics, Data Science, and AI/ML applications, will serve as the resource person. He has conducted several training programmes and workshops in analytics, AI, and decision sciences.
The programme will cover key topics such as supervised and unsupervised learning, recommender systems, and ensemble models, linking each technique to real-world managerial questions including customer churn prediction, market segmentation, product recommendation, and fraud detection.
Upon completion of the programme, participants will gain conceptual clarity and hands-on exposure to AI/ML techniques, enabling them to apply these methods to business decision problems and design AI-enabled case studies and student projects.
