The NTR Memorial Trust honoured GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, with a Certificate of Appreciation on 17 March 2026, in recognition of its generous contributions and steadfast support towards the Trust’s initiatives. The certificate highlighted GITAM’s selfless commitment, noting that its efforts have played a vital role in bringing positive change to the lives of the underprivileged and continue to inspire the broader community.
The award was presented by Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee of the Trust, to D.V.V.S.R. Varma, Resident Director, GITAM Hyderabad.
Over the past four years, GITAM has been actively organizing voluntary blood donation drives, reinforcing the life-saving importance of blood donation while fostering compassion, social responsibility, and a spirit of service among students. The initiative has been widely appreciated, with organizers commending students for their generosity and selfless contributions that help save lives and encourage others to participate in such noble causes.
The GITAM leadership, along with Prof. D.S. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Ambika Philip, Director – Hospitality & Campus Life, Heads of Institutions, Heads of Departments, and faculty members, lauded the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such impactful community service programmes.
