The Department of English and Other Languages at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, continues to nurture future-ready professionals through its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes (BA, MA &Ph. D) in English. Their areas of expertise include Indian Writing in English, Print Culture, Translation Studies, Literature of Migration, Digital Humanities, Gender and Sexuality

Studies, Marginality and Literature, Sociolinguistics, English Language Education, Stylistics, and Phonetics.
Students gain a strong foundation in American Literature, British Literature, and Indian Writing in English, while also exploring emerging disciplines such as Digital Humanities, Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, Applied Linguistics, and English Language Education.
