Hyderabad: An Innovative Student Mentorship Initiative at GITAM
GITAM Deemed to be University is set to introduce another innovative initiative aimed at empowering students through meaningful guidance and mentoring. Dr.Rojeena Mathew, Director – Training, Mentoring & Career Guidance (TMCG), GITAM Career Guidance Centre, has launched a unique interactive program titled “Talk Time” to help students address their academic, career, and personal development concerns.
As part of the initiative, Dr. Mathew will dedicate one-and-a-half hours daily from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM between 11 May and 31 December 2026, offering 15-minute one-on-one interaction slots for students. The sessions will be available on all working days, excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
The program is designed to provide students with a comfortable and open platform to discuss issues related to Skill Development & Industry Readiness, Career Guidance & Pathways, Mentorship & Professional Growth, and Feedback & Concerns. The initiative encourages students to freely express their ideas, clarify doubts, seek direction, and receive constructive guidance in a supportive environment.
Highlighting the purpose of the initiative, Dr. Mathew stated that “Talk Time” is intended to create genuine and meaningful conversations where students can openly share their thoughts, seek clarity on important decisions, discuss ideas they have been hesitant to voice, and gain fresh perspectives on challenges affecting their academic and professional growth.
Students have been advised to come prepared with clear discussion points while booking their slots, utilize the opportunity responsibly, and ensure purposeful interaction as the number of available slots is limited. Students may reserve their appointment slots by scanning the QR code or through the booking link provided by Dr. Mathew.
