GITAM Professor Delivers Expert Lecture on Research Publication Ethics

Prof. (Dr.) PriteeAmbarishParwekar, Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering, School of CSE, GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad delivered an expert lecture as the Resource Person at a one-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research Publication Ethics” organized by D Y Patil Agriculture & Technical University, Talsande, Kolhapur, in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi.

Prof.Parwekar’s session focused on the importance of ethical research and scholarly publishing. She highlighted key aspects such as research integrity, publication ethics, plagiarism prevention, authorship, peer review, responsible conduct of research, and best practices for publishing quality research.

The programme attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students, who actively interacted with the speaker on maintaining high ethical standards, in academic research. The interactive session underscored the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in scientific publications.

Prof.Parwekar appreciated the hospitality extended by D Y Patil University and thanked SangramPatil, the organising committee, and all the participants for making the programme a success. She observed that such FDPs strengthen ethical research practices, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote academic excellence through collaborative learning.
