GITAM Launches Summer Sports Camp for Faculty and Staff Children

As part of its commitment to holistic development and employee well-being, the Directorate of Campus Life at GITAM Hyderabad has launched a Summer Sports Camp for the children of faculty and staff members. The camp is designed for children aged 6 to 15 years and aims to provide structured sports coaching during the summer break.

The camp offers professional coaching in Table Tennis, Badminton, Football, and Cricket under the guidance of experienced campus coaches. Through regular training sessions, participants will have the opportunity to develop fundamental sporting skills while embracing the values of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Sports play a vital role in shaping young minds by fostering physical fitness, confidence, resilience, and leadership qualities. By introducing children to sports at a young age, GITAM Hyderabad seeks to nurture healthy habits and instil discipline at the grassroots level.

This initiative, led by the Directorate of Campus Life, reflects GITAM Hyderabad’s continued focus on creating a vibrant and inclusive campus ecosystem. It also aligns with the institution’s broader Human Resources vision of fostering a “Great Place to Work” culture by extending meaningful engagement opportunities to employees and their families.

Speaking about the initiative, officials from the Directorate of Campus Life emphasized that the camp is not merely about sports training but about creating memorable experiences, encouraging active lifestyles, and strengthening the sense of community among GITAM families. The Summer Sports Camp reinforces GITAM Hyderabad’s belief that learning and development extend beyond classrooms and workplaces, contributing to the overall growth and well-being of individuals and families alike.
