GITAM Launches Session Series on Upskilling and Global Career Readiness

GITAM Deemed to be University is set to launch the TMCG–GCGC June 2026 Session Series, a comprehensive initiative focused on upskilling, career development, industry readiness, and global higher education awareness, said Dr.Rojeena Mathew, Director – Training, Mentoring & Career Guidance (TMCG), GITAM Career Guidance Centre (GCGC).

The TMCG platform has been instrumental in connecting students with accomplished alumni, industry experts, researchers, and professionals from diverse domains. Through these interactions, students gain practical insights that complement classroom learning and prepare them for successful careers in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
The June 2026 session series will feature distinguished alumni and industry professionals sharing their experiences and expertise on emerging career opportunities, higher education abroad, artificial intelligence, product management, and data analytics.

The sessions include:

• June 11: Beyond Borders: Journey to Studying AI in the US by SrijaNallamothu, Master’s Student, University of Cincinnati.

• June 12: Beyond Borders: Your Journey to Higher Studies Abroad by HarthikMallichetty, Graduate, University of Texas at Dallas.

• June 14: Introduction to Product Roles: Product Owner and Product Manager by Vanshika Sai Bothsa, Product Analyst, GlobalData Plc.

• June 15: Journey to University of Houston by AakanshaGovindaraju, Research Assistant, University of Houston.

• June 21: Navigating the Future of Data Analytics: AI, Skills & Career by SameekshaNimje, Data Science Manager, MSD.

• June 23: Decoding the Ideal Time for Joining Higher Studies Abroad by Sreya Reddy N, Master’s Student, North Carolina State University.

• June 26: How to Study Abroad with Clarity and Purpose by SairamNagesh, Master’s Student, Kozminski University, Poland.

The sessions aim to help students understand emerging industry trends, explore global education opportunities, gain insights from alumni working and studying abroad, and develop the skills needed for successful careers in high-growth sectors.

Dr.Rojeena Mathew encouraged students to actively participate in the sessions, interact with the speakers, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional journeys.

“Every session offers an opportunity to learn from individuals who have successfully navigated the path students aspire to follow. The choices made today shape the opportunities of tomorrow,” she added.

So far, TMCG has successfully conducted 149 upskilling sessions across various domains, engaging hundreds of students through mentorship, career guidance, industry exposure, and higher education awareness programs.
