GITAM Invites Applications for Senior Research Fellow Position

GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, has invited applications for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under a project funded by the Anusandhan Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.

The position is available under the research project titled, “Clindamycin nanoparticles integrated chitosan-siallylactose gel scaffold as localized targeted modality against resistant vaginal bacteria: Pre-clinical efficacy validation,” led by Dr. Bhabani Sankar Satapathy, Department of Pharmaceutics, GITAM School of Pharmacy.

Candidates with an M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics or Pharmacology, along with first division and a strong academic record, are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience in polymeric or lipid nanodrug carrier formulation development, animal handling, antimicrobial testing, analytical instrumental techniques, and relevant publications in indexed journals.

The appointment is temporary, initially for one year, and may be extended up to three years based on satisfactory performance. Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of Rs. 42,000 per month along with applicable House Rent Allowance (HRA). The upper age limit is 28 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms.

The last date for submission of applications is 10thJuly 2026. Interviews are likely to be held on 14thJuly 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.

The university stated that the appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment at the institute, and is expected to join immediately if selected. The Principal Investigator reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
