GITAM Hosts ‘Sadhana–2026’ Showcasing Student Talent in Fine and Performing Arts

The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at the GITAM School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hyderabad, organized ‘Sadhana–2026’, a vibrant showcase of talent by students enrolled in Minor and Open Elective courses in Carnatic Music, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Theatre, and Fine Arts. The event was held at the university’s Dance Studio on Friday.

As part of the semester-end practical examinations, students presented captivating performances, reflecting their learning and artistic growth. Continuing this tradition, participants from Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Theatre Arts delivered impressive stage performances as part of their academic evaluation.

The Kuchipudi segment was guided by Dr. Y. LalithaSindhuri and VaishnaviPrativadi, while Bharatanatyam performances were mentored by Anju Aravind. Theatre Arts presentations were led by Dr.Shyam Prakash, and the Carnatic Music students were trained under the guidance of MruduravaliDarbha. The performances were further enriched by live musical accompaniment, with Chandrakanth on the Mridangam and Vasu on the Violin.

The event received an enthusiastic response from the audience, with each performance earning widespread appreciation for its artistic excellence and expressive depth.
