Dr.NiranjanAppaswamy, Associate Professor in the Department of AI & DS at the GITAM School of CSE, has been invited to serve as a mentor and resource person for the AI Launchpad Bootcamp at Truong Cao Dang Vien Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from June 22 to July 4, 2026. The two-week international academic engagement reflects the growing global recognition of GITAM faculty expertise and academic leadership.
This marks Dr.NiranjanAppaswamy’s sixth academic engagement at Vien Dong, further strengthening the collaborative relationship between the institutions. Recognizing his expertise and contributions to emerging technologies, the leadership of GITAM Deemed to be University has extended its support for him to share his knowledge and experience with students in Vietnam.
The 72-hour hands-on AI Launchpad Bootcamp is designed to introduce students to Artificial Intelligence from the ground up, enabling them to build real-world AI applications without requiring extensive prior knowledge of coding or mathematics. The program emphasizes experiential learning through open-source tools and practical applications.
The bootcamp curriculum is structured into four learning phases: AI Fundamentals (Visual Learning – No Coding Required), Python and Machine Learning Fundamentals, Practical AI Applications, and AI Project Development and Deployment. Through these modules, participants will gain hands-on experience in building, testing, and deploying real-world AI solutions.
Dr.NiranjanAppaswamy is a distinguished cybersecurity thought leader, international educator, and academic mentor. He has authored 22 textbooks and currently serves as the Secretary of the IEEE Cybersecurity Special Technical Community (STC). He is also the editor of The Cyber Defender and Teaching Beyond the Textbook Newsletters of LinkedIn and is a sought-after speaker on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
