GITAM Conducts Mathematics and Science Outreach Programme for Intermediate Students

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Science, GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, organized a Mathematics and Science Outreach Programme for Intermediate students at MJPTBCWRJC, Sangareddy, and SOE Girls College (C/O RRS Engineering College), Patancheru Mandal, on Tuesday.

The programme aimed to motivate students to pursue higher education in Engineering, Mathematics, and Science while equipping them with effective preparation strategies for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and EAPCET. Faculty members and student volunteers conducted interactive sessions on examination-oriented concepts, time-saving mathematical shortcuts, scientific problem-solving techniques, and career guidance. An engaging quiz competition further reinforced the concepts learned, with winners receiving GITAM-branded water bottles and pens.

The initiative received an enthusiastic response from students, who appreciated the practical tips and shortcut methods that enhanced their confidence and problem-solving abilities for competitive examinations.

The outreach programme was carried out by students Trishal Sai Vallepalli, ChinthalaKuntaNithin Kumar, Subhangi Panda, AnushkaPrajapati, PirlamarlaLaxmi Vajra, and Talamanchi Manoj Kumar under the guidance of faculty coordinators Dr. P. NarasimhaSwamy, Dr. Shiva Reddy, Dr. P. JitendraSenapati, and Dr.Souptik Chakraborty.
